yogi Less than a month ago, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said he would be retiring, “Invincibility is irreversibly established in the world. My work is done. My designated duty to Guru Dev is fulfilled.”

The spiritual leader and guru to the Beatles, credited with the introduction of transcendental meditation to the West, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi passed away peacefully at the Franciscan monastery in the southern Dutch village of Vlodrop.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s transcendental meditation teaching were considered suspect but gained reputable standing in the medical community for its effectiveness in mental control and health. The Beatles made the Hindu practice of transcendental meditation a popular practice after studying with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Other celebrities attracted to the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi were the Rolling Stones, Mia Farrow, Shirley MacLaine, Clint Eastwood and Deepak Chopra.

Maharishi means great sage. Although the birth date of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is unknown, it is believed he was over 90 years old at the time of his death.

Lost Book of Nostradamus: video premiere

The Lost Book of Nostradamus is believed to be the last and final work of Nostradamus.

Twelve years ago, while researching old texts at the Italian National Library in Rome, Italian journalist Enza Massa discovered the manuscript titled Nostradamus Vatinicia Code. On the inside of the book the name of Michel de Notredame appears. Now known as the Lost Book of Nostradamus, the manuscript includes over eighty watercolor illustrations by Nostradamus. Some of the illustrations by Nostradamus are described as cryptic and bizarre images.

The Lost Book of Nostradamus will premiere on the History Channel Sunday, October 28th at 9pm/8central time. The special will seek to answer the question as to why the manuscript was hidden for over four hundred years and if the images in the Lost Book of Nostradamus is a prophecy and warning that the end of the world is near.
