Over the last one hundred years, two of the most memorable cookies of childhood were introduced by the same company. In 1902, the National Biscuit Company created Barnum’s animal circus cookies and ten years later in 1912, the Oreo cookie. Today, both the animal cookies and the cookie made with two chocolate cookies and creme filling are still favorite cookies. Oreo cookies has the distinction of being the best selling cookie of the 20th century.
