Ice Cream and Violins Day

Icecreamcone
December 13th is Ice Cream and Violins Day. The who, what, where, when, why, and how of this holiday are not easily found. They may not even exist.

But, the lack of information shouldn’t stop you from celebrating this unique mashup of fine dessert and music.

You could make your own batch of homemade ice cream to celebrate. A traditional vanilla, my favorite, or chocolate ice cream would be an excellent choice. With Christmas rapidly approaching, you might find yourself in a particularly festive mood. A peppermint or eggnog ice cream should satisfy your holiday hunger.

If you don’t have an ice cream maker, that’s fine. You can easily celebrate the violin side of the day, by learning how to play the instrument. I have spent hours, slaving over a hot internet, just to find you free violin lessons. You can find step-by-step violin instruction here. Free video lessons are provided by Expert Village and Violin Masterclass.  These lessons cover topics ranging from how to hold the violin to reading from sheet music.
