TV Land: Classic TV, music and movies for boomers

TV Land President Larry W. Jones offers this explanation for the decision behind the redesign and focus of TV Land’s website, “TVLand.com is evolving beyond classic TV into an entertainment destination targeting a generation. The revitalized TVLand.com site will give viewers seeking fun-filled entertainment targeted to their age group an experience that goes above and beyond classic TV and into music, games, movies and original TV Land Productions.”

What can a boomer expect to find in the way of classic television shows at TV Land.com?

Free full-length episodes of classic TV series like Leave It To Beaver, The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, Hogan’s Heroes and Gunsmoke. Classic video clips from shows that include I Love Lucy, Star Trek, Green Acres, The Addams Family, The Munsters, Get Smart, and Bonanza. Theme songs from The Jeffersons, Leave it to Beaver, Sandford and Son, Bonanza and Cheers. Theme songs from The Andy Griffith Show, The Jeffersons, Leave it to Beaver, Sandford and Son, Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Cheers.

An Elvis Presley fan will stumble upon a special section devoted to the King of Rock ‘n Roll. Movie fans can watch favorite movie trailers. TV Land hosts a photo gallery of some of the most memorable events and people past and present.

In addition, TV Land has announced that Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) site will be available on any portable device with the channel’s specially designed WAP site beginning in November.
