A nude Silverstone ascends from the swimming pool in the naked vegan testimonial. PETA credits director Dave Meyers, who has also directed Britney Spears, OutKast, and Dave Mathews Band videos, with this daring and tastefully done video.

With Alison Sweeney as host, the fourth season of NBC’s The Biggest Loser premiered last night with a few new surprise twists.
Not only is there a Blue team, and a Red team, there is a secret Black team training without the knowledge of the contestants of the Blue or Red teams.
Led by trainer Jillian, the Black team is scheduled to join up with the other teams during the second week.

Funky Winkerbean: Comic strip Breast Cancer death

The ink is dry. Funky Winkerbean’s Lisa Moore does not survive breast cancer. Upon learning the final fate of Lisa, who has been battling breast cancer since 1999, Funky Winkerbean readers have been emailing Funky Winkerbean’s creator and cartoonist Tom Batiuk to request that he change the story, ink a new ending, and save Lisa Moore.
Batiuk has indicated that he completed this storyline months ago and will not change how Lisa Moore’s story ends. Batiuk has moved on to new comic strip storylines. For Funky Winkerbean readers, Lisa Moore’s story will run through October of this year. Ironically, and perhaps fitting, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The last few months have become a series of seemingly unending recalls of products from China due to unsafe and/or life-threatening ingredients.
In the latest recall, Mattel has issued a voluntary recall of eight Barbie brand pet and furniture playsets and three Fisher Price toys due to toy parts testing at levels of lead that do not meet acceptable safe health standards.

Not to say that National Cheese Pizza Day is an official holiday. We, at the cottage, are undaunted by this lack of formality in our continuing quest to discover one more way to celebrate each and every day.
The unofficial official proclamation made somewhere by someone that today is National Cheese Pizza Day was all the reason we needed to hang out in the cottage kitchen making a cheese pizza for no other reason than we overheard it is National Cheese Pizza Day.
